The City Government of Caloocan, through the City Social Welfare Development Department (CSWDD), conducted a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training program on October 23-25 for the benefit of city social workers in providing Trauma Informed Care.
Various strategies in rendering support for trauma victims were relayed to the participants in the 3-day training, including enhanced awareness of the nature of trauma and its effects, development of trauma-informed practices, and improved interdisciplinary cooperation in handling trauma cases.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan applauded the CSWDD as well as the participants for taking part in the initiatives to improve city services and emphasized the impact of the said CPD training to his administration’s current commitment in maintaining a holistic approach in addressing prevalent social issues.
