MARAWI CITY–Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong, Jr. wants municipal programs aligned with the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan 2020-2040, the Vision 2040 of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Information Office of Lanao del Sur has launched a series of focused group discussion on the Solo Parents Welfare Act
Adiong disclosed this during the Caucus of Lanao del Sur Local Chief Executives’ Caucus in Cagayan de Oro City on August 17, 2023.
Lanao del Sur League of Municipalities president Mayor Dimnatang Pansar said one of the main objectives of the caucus was to ensure that all programs of the municipal governments in the province were “aligned with the direction and programs under the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan 2020-2040, the Vision 2040 of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur.
All 38 mayors present also took their oath as members of the local SIAP Party, administered by party president, Vice-Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong.
SIAP is a political party formed by the late Governor Mamintal Adiong Sr. two decades ago.
“We staunchly support the Vision 2040 of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur of the (SIAP) party, as it advocates for good governance, community resilience, and socio-economic development at the grassroots,” said Vice Governor Mujam Adiong.
The FGDs are designed to broaden community advocacy on the provisions of Republic Act 8972, the Solo Parents Welfare Act 2020, and RA 11861, the Expanded Solo Parents Act of 2022.
Advocacy for the laws will cover formulation of local policies, providing or strengthening programs beneficial to solo parents of the province, and implementation of relevant projects at the provincial and municipal local government units (LGUs).
In another development, the Integrated Provincial Health Office, under Dr. Allen Minalang, turned over packages of medicines consisting of multivitamins Paracetamol tablets, to the provincial units of the Ministry of Health-IPHO for children all over the province.
The distribution of medicines will follow a massive vaccination program for Measles-Rubella Oral Polio.
Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong believes that immunization is a vital factor of social preparation and in sustaining a healthy constituency.
