Ads come to life on metro’s eye-popping 3D billboards

Filipino netizens used to marvel at the viral video of a giant hyperrealistic 3D cat on a high-tech billboard in Shinjuku Station, Japan. Now, they can feast their eyes upon similar sights with two recently installed 3D billboards at the heart of Metro Manila.

In the vicinity of Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City is the largest vertical, three-sided indoor LED billboard in the country. Unlike the 3D billboards in Shinjuku Station and Times Square, New York, they can view the new installation from the safety of indoors.

Ayala Malls’ 3D billboard features naked-eye technology, allowing viewers to experience their latest installation without 3D glasses or other accessories.

Mallgoers saw Ayala Malls unveil their latest innovation last October 21. Ayala Malls strategically planned the content they projected on the 3D screen during the launch and went with a cute and lovable subject that tugged on the heartstrings of Filipinos from all walks of life: a puppy. Now, people can view Glorietta’s adorable puppy on the vertical, three-sided indoor LED billboard.

For the holiday season, Ayala Malls plans a one-of-a-kind 3D experience at Glorietta to delight families of mallgoers and sightseers.

Meanwhile, One Bonifacio High Street boasts a similar feature atop One Bonifacio High Street, unveiled by Maya. The leading-edge 3D Naked Eye LED, measuring 40.8 by 9.9 meters, brings a three-story-high 3D experience to the bustling streets of BGC.

“We’re excited to be one of the first brands to launch this first-of-its-kind, cutting-edge media innovation in the country. This execution perfectly captures the Maya brand – bold, impactful, and innovative,” said Pepe Torres, Chief Marketing Officer for Maya.

The public can catch Maya’s ad on the 3D LED billboard at One Bonifacio High Street til December 2022

The 3D video ad material displayed on the 3D billboard highlights Maya’s accomplishments as the most advanced digital bank in the Philippines. The public can view the ad until December 2022.

Filipinos will no longer have to travel to Japan or New York, or stay glued to their screens, to catch a glimpse of 3D billboards. All they have to do is look up the select locations in the metro, and they’ll witness a different experience thanks to modern technology.
