The Pinoy idol group is the 18th boy band named in the unranked list published by De Elizabeth, just after the 70s Puerto Rican boy band Menudo and before the 90s American R&B group All-4-One.

Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin are the five members of the Filipino boy band known as SB19. They were formed in 2016 after winning a talent search, going on to release a studio album along with eight singles. They’ve continued achieving heights of popularity in early 2022 with the release of their hit ‘Bazinga,’” Elizabeth wrote in the article.

Joining them in the list are BTS, Boyz II Men, The Beatles, One Direction, NSYNC, The Jackson 5, SHINee, New Kids on the Block, SEVENTEEN, Westlife, Big Bang, 5 Seconds of Summer, EXO, The Jonas Brothers, Monsta X, The Wanted, Backstreet Boys, and many others.

SB19 debuted in 2018 and earned international attention as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian artist to enter Billboard’s Next Big Sound, Social 50, and Year-End Social 50 charts. The boy band is also the first Filipino act to enter the Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart with their hit song  ‘Bazinga.’

They were also the first Southeast Asian act nominated for the Billboard Music Awards in 2021, competing for the Top Social Artist category against Blackpink, SEVENTEEN, Ariana Grande, and BTS.
