Batangas Gov. Hermilando Mandanas on Wednesday said Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer and frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. is destined to be the country’s 17th president.
During the BBM-Sara UniTeam grand rally at the Lima Park in Lipa, Batangas, Mandanas said Marcos is what the country needs because he envisions what the country and the people really need.
The governor said it would be up to the people to vote for what the country truly needs, which is no other than Marcos.
“Ating ipakilala at ating iboto ang susunod na pangulo ng bansa na si Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr.,” he said, which drew resonating cheers of approval from the mammoth crowd of supporters who attended the said rally.
For his part, Marcos Jr. thanked the Batangenos for the support. Organizers said the UniTeam drew another mammoth crowd, this time at the jampacked grand rally at the Lima Commercial Estate in this vote-rich province.
In his speech, Marcos vowed to lower the high electricity costs in the country to generate more jobs. He is convinced that the fastest way to propel the province to progress and development is to ensure an affordable power rates.
The leaders of BBM Youth Advocate meanwhile called on supporters nationwide to remain steadfast and strengthen their ranks until they finally deliver a victory for Marcos Jr, in the scheduled May 9 elections.
Harold Toledana, director- general of BBM Youth Advocate, said that they were prompted to solidify their ranks to parry what he described as a flood of fake news and disinformation being unleashed by the camps of other candidates against BBM.
The groups claimed that the camps of Vice President Leni Robredo and Manila Mayor Isko Domagoso were now reportedly resorting to all forms of dirty tactics just to derail BBM from winning the presidency.
Toledana urged members to comply with Atty. Vic Rodriguez’s call that they should not rest “until we have achieved the 70-percent preference survey rating” to ensure BBM’s victory. With Rey E. Requejo
