PrimeWater rolls out community-based bills payment for customers

PrimeWater Silang (Cavite) with its joint-venture partner Silang Water District  (SWD), said it has enhanced its Barangay Payment Partner (BPP) program that will give customers the option to pay their water bills in the nearest payment center instead of commuting to the town proper.

Aside from promoting hassle-free payment, the program is seen to create barangay-based consumerism during the current pandemic which will be beneficial to all.

The BPP is among the numerous service enhancements PrimeWater and its joint venture partner have accomplished in the last two years. It has also completed nine new pumping stations including four steel bolted tanks, and 267 km of pipelines laid throughout its concession since the partnership in 2019.

The BBP  is a program derived from the concept of community-based online entrepreneurship that will give added income to payment partners who are also micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

It encouraged able members of the community to become payment partners as their additional source of income and at the same time, gave convenience to customers who do not have to travel far to settle their bills.

“This pandemic has stretched us to the core. Aside from our continuous efforts in keeping ourselves away from the virus, we also felt that there is a constant need to think of means on how to survive and carry on as a community,” said Abigail Mojica, PrimeWater Silang Branch Manager.

For the BPP, a minimum of P20 goes to the payment partner as a transaction fee for every transaction. “It’s a huge help to us, especially my family, now that we need additional means of living during the pandemic,” said Charito Escuyos, accredited payment partner from Barangay Adlas.

The program brought 105accredited payment partners with a presence on 58 out of 64 barangays in Silang, Cavite.

The BPP is one of the company’s ways of helping its customers  by prioritizing their health and safety concerns.

Through the BPP, Mojica added that they were also able to promote their partners’ stores on the branch’s official Facebook page to inform their customers that there is a BPP within their area.
