HK’s Chow Tai Fook Jewellery opens in Manila

Ninety-year-old jewellery and gold shop Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited brings its renowned craftsmanship to the Philippines as it recently opened its first store in the country at The Shoppes in Solaire Resort and Casino, Parañaque City.

The grand opening of Chow Tai Fook Manila was officiated by the Kho Group’s director, Charles Sy who shared his vision of combining the Filipino’s passion for artistry and the brand’s renowned craftsmanship.

“Chow Tai Fook is a brand that values creativity, authenticity, and originality, something that I believe fits into the Filipino principles. It just makes perfect sense that combined; something extraordinary will just come out of it,” said Sy. 

Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited executive director Peter Suen Chi-Keung, who is responsible for the group’s Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas business, also flew in to the country to attend the grand opening of the Manila store.

A sand-pouring ceremony to officiate the opening was led by Suen, director of overseas business development Po Liu, and senior vice president Kenneth Lao. They were joined by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, Vice Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, The Kho Group chairman Kitson Kho, Charles Sy, Bloomberry Resorts Corporation president and chief operating officer Thomas Arasi, and Bloomberry Resorts Corporation vice chairman for construction and regulatory affairs Donato C. Almeda.

Chow Tai Fook’s set pieces were showcased at the opening, as models strutted through the 200-square-meter store. The brand’s most sought-after pieces were displayed against the warm light palette of the store, accentuated by the brand’s iconic red logo.
