Globe Telecom Inc. said it will seek more deals with tower companies to roll out more cell sites nationwide.
“We continue to talk to the rest of potential tower companies and we are open to signing more MOUs (memorandum of understandings) on a couple of requirements. First, obviously is accreditation with us as a partner, and second is the need to share with us where they are seriously able to build up for us,” said Globe chief finance officer of Rizza Maniego-Eala.
“If there’s a match we will proceed to sign with us,” she added.
Globe earlier signed an agreement with Aboitiz InfraCapital and Frontier Tower Associates Philippines to build common telecom towers in the cities of Cebu, Davao and Olongapo to improve connectivity in these areas.
A similar agreement was also signed with ISOC Infrastructure Inc. and Malaysia-based tower giant edotco Group Sdn. Bhd. to build 150 sites in the Calabarzon.
