In Myanmar’s Inle Lake, renowned for its floating market and quality hand-woven silk fabrics some 591 kms north of the capital of Yangon, merchants bring their wares to the once-every-five-days market behind the Hpaung Daw U Pagoda. Locals come here to buy everything they need—from safety pins to traditional medicines and even edible crunchy ants that are mildly sour to the taste.
