Vincent John S. Villacorte, Vice President of Business operation at AP Cargo said: “Ramco’s unified solution will offer real-time operational visibility and better planning capabilities, enabling us to arrest revenue leakage and boost productivity to drive overall growth. We are excited to work with them.”

“We are still at the Stone Age. Running a family business is the hardest part. Being naïve in the digitization, working with millennials, with transgenerational values etcetera,” Villacorte added.

“Ramco’s unified solution operational visibility and better planning capability is enabling us to a rise in revenue and whose productivity to thrive overall,” Villacorte added.

Belonging in the ‘baby boomer’ generation made Villacorte unreceptive to technological advancement.

Until he decided to adhere to the advice of his two boys, saying: “I thought I would always win the battle with the company. So now I would surrender, and give in to the demands that I think the best milestone will be having with Ramco. Thank you, Ramco.”

According to Ramco, a person can spend only 20% of his/her time to do a task that adds only 20% value, effectively reducing the time a person spends and frees up more time to concentrate on business.

Ramco offers more than simple Logistics, they have an enterprise software with a functionality similar to a comprehensive ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) that can help companies such as AP Cargo to lessen the workload of their employees, which will create an efficient and promising work place for them.

Ramco designed various programs such as Talk It, Bot It, Thumb It, Hub It and Prompt It to help ease the workload of the employees of each company that are partnered with them.

Ramco may have created programs that can instill an efficient work place, but the most innovative among the programs is the Bot It, wherein employees get to chat with a bot for faster transactions. Although Ramco revealed that the Bot still lacks enough knowledge, they assured that the AI can actually learn through experiences such as conversing with different people.

According to them, the technology is at the point where there is enough built-in intelligence to enable bots to offer more complex suggestions to a user as well as to learn additional responses based on past experiences.

AP Cargo is not the first local company that they tapped, according to the CEO of Ramco as Virender Aggarwal, LBC, a local courier company, also signed with them last 2016.

Aggarwal said that by securing this partnership with AP Cargo, it represents another milestone in their ongoing journey to strengthen their presence in the high-growth ASEAN economies.
