President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman Martin Diño as undersecretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The President signed Diño’s appointment paper on Monday but was released only on Tuesday to the media.
According to a Malacañang official, Diño is DILG’s undersecretary for the Barangay Affairs.
Diño was kicked out of the SBMA which he earlier alleged that a big group within the SBMA is behind for his ouster.
