The 36-member Quezon City council has endorsed a list of priority projects to the Department of Budget and Management.

The priority projects are part of the city’s development investment and annual investment program.

District 3 Councilor Franz Pumaren authored Resolution 7034 identifying and classifying into three major areas the priority projects as disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, social services and health.

A copy of the resolution has been forwarded to the DBM.

The Budget department is allocating P65 million in local government support funds-financial assistance to local government units.

At least P22.898 million shall go to disaster response and mitigation to cover the purchase of rescue and special purpose vehicles.

Assistance to indigent individuals and families, medical, burial, transportation, food, cash for work or educational assistance would eat up P41.102 million.

Only P1 million is allocated for health through assistance to indigent patients of the Quezon City General Hospital and Novaliches District Hospital.
