Festival Mall in Alabang was abuzz with cheers and screams from fans all weekend long as teen idols and heartthrobs drew in crowds at the annual Oishi Snacktacular event.
Oishi Snacktacular is an annual extravaganza where snack lovers get to partake in several fun booths that feature their favourite Oishi snacks. An entertaining addition this year was the participation of Oishi friends Panya, Hippy, Pilyo, Waifu, who are colourful mascots of much-loved Oishi snacks.
The Team O members were also in full force who tried out the different fun activities at Oishi Snacktacular.
Oishi’s famous crowd favorite, the Snack Catcher was played by Maine Mendoza, who was lowered into a pool of snacks and was able to grab more than 50 assorted Oishi snacks. Teen heartthrob Daniel Padilla was caught sneaking around at Oishi’s Snack Shack where he grabbed his favorite Oishi snacks in under 60 seconds while Alex Gonzaga created her own Oishi snack of Bread Pan and chips dipped in cheese in the Make-Your-Own-Snack booth. She invited hundreds of participants to try their own outrageous combinations in the booth. Some walked away with traditional combinations like chips and cheese while others walked away with bizarre concoctions like wafers with mustard and mayonnaise.
Kathryn Bernardo made a fan squeal with delight as she was invited to join her in Oishi’s Cuckoo Blaster game. In Cuckoo Blaster, participants were made to wear Cuckoo’s signature wings and try to catch as many balls as they could in a basket. Being a veteran at Cuckoo Blaster, Kathryn knew how to catch the balls flawlessly so she shared some tips with her lucky fan who managed to catch 23 balls out of the 80 thrown and fell short of the 40 required for the grand prize so Kathryn generously donated the balls she caught, resulting in the fan taking home the entire lineup of Oishi’s delicious beverages!
Oishi’s Snacktacular this year was without a doubt, an enormous success. Participants seemed to have had a ton of fun as they left with smiles on their faces and bags full of snacks in their hands. No doubt, Team O’s KathNiel, Alex, and Maine also had a blast and will be looking forward to being back next year to share even more fun and snacks with their fans.
