Five transport groups are seeking an increase of P 2.00 in jeepney fare.
They filed a petition with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday.

If their request is granted, the jeepney fare will increase from the current P 8 to P 10 for the first four kilometers of the trip.
The plea covers fare in Metro Manila and Regions 3 and 4.
The petition was filed by FEJODAP, ACTO, LTOP, ALTODAP and Pasang Masda.
They cited as reasons increases in pump prices, cost of spare parts and even minimum wage.
