Boyet Fajardo, the pioneering designer for plus size women, celebrates another successful season in his career with his newest collection.
A showcase of inspirational pieces for the mature, modern woman, the collection boasts a bold palette of fiery reds, grays, and black, evoking the timeless elegance of modern classics.
“For this season, my inspiration reflects my pure dedication to my craft and passion for empowering plus size/mature beauties with pieces that fit and flatter their silhouettes. As the pioneering designer who pursued and advocated for the equal rights of ‘bigger counterparts’ in fashion, nothing gives me more joy than to make women of all sizes and ages feel beautiful in their skin,” he beams.
For the discerning, well-traveled woman, Fajardo designs versatile pieces that gracefully cling to curves, creating a flattering silhouette. Made from a mix of chiffon, jersey, and other lightweight fabrics, the pieces feel like second skin, offering comfort and ease of movement for the wearer. “My collection is founded on a transitional style that easily brings you from day to night. The ensembles are comfortable yet elevated, so they’re appropriate for any occasion,” shares Fajardo.
From flirty cocktail dresses to statement separates for the everyday, Fajardo’s collection brims with positivity and boldness.
One of his stronger pieces in the collection is the cocktail number in Abraham lace and flowing silk chiffon combination cut in western pattern and features color coordinated tabs in flowing chiffon matched with techno printed trousers. It’s a modern juxtaposition of colors, patterns, and textures that women will love and appreciate.
When it comes to fabrics, Fajardo displays his skill and craftsmanship with the use of lace, draping, and embellishments that are seamlessly woven into his pieces. Fajardo creates a modern cocktail dress in Abraham lace and flowing silk chiffon that’s shows off a more structured silhouette.
Fajardo also plays with shapes, offering an array of styles that aim to highlight the different features women love most about their bodies. From off-shoulder shift dresses that help bring focus to a woman’s strong shoulders and sexy décolletage, to flowy skirts with thigh-high, peek-a-boo slits, each piece celebrates a woman’s allure without being vulgar. “Being sexy does not mean resorting to vulgarity in design. Elegance and sensuality, which go hand-in-hand, are a better means to capture a woman’s magnetism. And as you know, a woman can be sexy at any size and at any age,” ends Boyet.
