Radar system

Members of Philippine Navy work on the newly-acquired Tethered Aerostat Radar System at the Naval Education and Traning Command in San Antonio, Zambales on Tuesday. The radar system was donated to the Philippine Navy through Joint US Military Assistance Group (Jusmag). It can provide telemetry data to the ground station for monitoring of ambient temperature, pressure, wind speed and other parameters in the operation of the system. The Philippine Navy will use the equipment in Maritime Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance by effectively detecting maritime and air traffic within the country’s coastal water using sensors.
