Valenzuela City bagged four awards in the month of July, including the Gawad Kalasag 2017 for the Best Government Emergency Management Service in NCR (pictured here) awarded by the Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council for the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Urban Search and Rescue Unit. The same office was recognized by the Office of the Civil Defense – National Capital Region. The city government was also recognized for the Best Public Employment Service Office in NCR for 2017, the Local Government Unit e-Readiness Leadership Award, and the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance.
