BALANGA CITY, Bataan—In anticipation of new power generation facilities here, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will undertake the Bataan transmission reinforcement project.
New power plants in the province are expected to operate in the next few years, said NGCP Regional Corporate Communication Officers Fely Francisco and Ernest Vidal in a briefing here last week.
The transmission company will commence the Bataan 230 kV Reinforcement Project to accommodate the new power streams from the province.
Earlier, Francisco said the NGCP will also be building the 500 kV Castillejos-Hermosa transmission line and the 69 kV Floridablanca-Hermosa line.
She said the Castillejos-Hermosa transmission line will cater to new power generators in Zambales. The Hermosa-Floridablanca line project aims to relieve the overloading of the existing Hermosa-Guagua line.
Vidal said they aim to work closely with the Bataan media to better inform local residents, particularly in times of power interruption.
