WANT to personally experience the Korean blockbuster movie Train to Busan? Then you should visit the Centennial Garden in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna.
On November 1, the Centennial Garden will again open its gates to its clients and guests for its annual celebration of the Family Day which coincides with the commemoration of the traditional All Saints’ Day, locally called Undas.
Len Jontongco, head of the Marketing and Promotions, said highlight of this year’s Scary House inside the famous Acropolis building at the Centennial Garden is the characters from Train to Busan—the popularity of the movie led to viral reenactment of friends and classmates in the social media.
“If those who watched really enjoyed the movie, then this is the chance for them to personally experience what it’s like to deal with the scary zombie characters,” said Jontongco.
Aside from Train to Busan, the Scary House will also feature other scary characters in local and foreign movies like Feng Shui, Conjuring and Shutter.
The Scary House is the most popular go-to area inside the Centennial Garden. Located inside the beautiful building Acropolis, the Scary House features different various horror characters every year.
Jontongco said the November 1 Family Day is not only open for the relatives of their clients but also for the public. Every year, it has been a frequent destination of residents of Sta. Rosa City and nearby areas but also other guests from various parts of Luzon, especially in Metro Manila.
“This is actually our way of giving back to our clients and to the public for our successful business operations. We want them to feel the Halloween atmosphere which is now deeply-embedded in our culture,” she said.
Jontongco, however, said that the November 1 Family Day event in Sta. Rosa is not only about ghosts, monsters and other scary creatures.
Like in the past events, she said that they will be holding a concert inside the Centennial Garden for the enjoyment of thousands of people who usually visit the place.
This year, the guests are Wacky Macky and Negi, Princess Velasco and the famous band Moonstar 88.
Jontongco also invited its clients and guests to tag along their children since the event will also feature Magic Show, Animal Show and Fireworks display.
“Of course, the traditional Trick or Treat will never be absent. Kids will surely enjoy it,” said Jontongco.
This year, she said that there will be a surprise show that will surely make the November 1 Family Day event an unforgettable one.
The Centennial Garden is a Greek-themed memorial park which is now becoming a by-word in Sta. Rosa City and other areas for its unique and modern architecture, as well as its relaxing ambiance.
