The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded a special citation to Muntinlupa City as one of the top five finalists in the Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards 2016.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi received the plaque of appreciation from the business chamber which recognized the city government’s efforts in implementing good governance in partnership with the private sector significantly benefiting its business community and citizenry.
Fresnedi said that the award serves as a testament to Muntinlupa City’s thrust in heralding inclusive growth through linkages with the local key business partners for common good.
“We envision Muntinlupa City to be one of the leading investment hubs in the country, hence, we in the local government continuously pave the way for investors to locate their businesses in the city,” he said.
The PCCI recognizes top local government units with business-friendly programs to spur development in localities annually.
Other cities from Metro Manila that qualified in the search were Quezon City, Pasig City, and Caloocan City.
Muntinlupa was also a recipient of the same citation last year for its best practices and notable projects for the improvement of economic growth in the area.
The city revels in its swift, convenient, and efficient innovation of business registration called the Single Window Transaction, adjudged as one of the winners in the 1st International Best Practice conducted by the Asian Productivity Organization and Development Academy of the Philippines.
