Five infrastructure projects here have been completed through funding from the provincial and national governments and party-list organizations.

Nueva Vizcaya Gov. Carlos Padilla said they had just acquired a new ambulance, the P12-million multi-purpose building of the Lt. Tidang Memorial Hospital(LTMH), the P7.7-million Besong Bridge and the P10-million concreting of the Besong-Kayapa Proper Road.

The multi-purpose building’s funding came from the COOPNATCO party-list and the national government.

“Former governor Ruth Padilla should be the one speaking here because it was during her time that these projects were implemented but since they were completed after her term, I am now speaking in her behalf, “ said Carlos.

According to him, 80 to 90 percent of the projects’ funding came from the provincial government while the rest he raised when he was congressman of Nueva Vizcaya.

Provincial Engineer Manolo Norial said the new infrastructure were additional projects of the provincial government which earlier poured in around P91 million only for infrastructure projects in Kayapa town.

LTMH serves more than 20,000 indigenous people belonging to the Kalanguya, Ifugao and Kankanaey tribes.
