GAC Motor Philippines took center stage at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), where it proudly presented its impressive lineup of vehicles. The star attraction of the event was the launch of the Emkoo Hybrid SUV, which was accompanied by the all-new M8 luxury MPV and the all-new M6 Pro. Notably, the Emkoo Hybrid SUV marked GAC MOTOR’s debut of a hybrid SUV in the Philippines.
Franz Decloedt, Brand Head of GAC Motor, Astara Philippines, emphasized the significance of launching the GAC Emkoo Hybrid at the premier automotive event, highlighting the company’s commitment to introducing top-tier vehicles to the market. The hybrid SUV showcases GAC’s advanced position in hybrid technology while offering versatile mobility solutions tailored to various lifestyles.
The Emkoo Hybrid SUV features a visually striking design with futuristic elements. It is equipped with an enhanced full parallel hybrid system that delivers improved mileage and value for mobility. Powered by a robust 2.0-liter ATK engine coupled with a 2-speed hybrid transmission, the vehicle generates 140 horsepower and 180 Newton-meters of torque. Additionally, an electric motor contributes 134 kilowatts and 300 Newton-meters of torque. With a fuel efficiency rating of 22.1 kilometers per liter, the GAC Emkoo Hybrid is designed to be number coding exempted on Metro Manila streets. The vehicle also boasts advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Keep Assist, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Interested buyers can anticipate the availability of the Emkoo Hybrid SUV for purchase in the Philippines by June 2024. More details regarding pricing and specific features will be disclosed closer to the retail launch.
