PIMS 2024: Honda Cars Philippines redefines ‘sport’ with New Civic RS e:HEV

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) made a bold statement at the opening of the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) by introducing their new theme “Sporty DNA: Redefined.” which encapsulates the synergy of sustainability and performance. The highlight of the exhibit is the launch of the New Civic RS e:HEV, marking a significant step in Honda’s electrification journey.

The New Civic was initially unveiled at the “Transform the Future – One Honda Electrification” event last September, where HCPI and Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) committed to a greener future through innovative electric vehicle solutions. Alongside the Civic, limited editions of the CR-V V Turbo and the Civic Type R, as well as two exciting motorcycles: the All-New EM1 e: and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, were PIMS attractions as well.

The limited-edition CR-V V Turbo combines practicality with sporty aesthetics, featuring enhancements such as an exhaust pipe finisher and a rear under spoiler. Furthermore, the MUGEN Civic Type R Group.A, which premiered at the Tokyo Auto Salon, is now available in the Philippines, with only five units set for release, making it a coveted addition for enthusiasts.

Enhanced New Civic Features

The New Civic RS e:HEV not only joins the lineup with its hybrid system but also boasts a sportier design and a more engaging driving experience. Key upgrades include an updated Honda SENSING system, enhanced Honda CONNECT capabilities, and new features like parking sensors and Type C USB ports across all variants. For the first time, the Civic integrates Google Built-in, allowing users to control various functions via voice commands, aligning with Honda’s vision of a collision-free future.

As a treat, HCPI is waiving reservation fees for the New Civic RS e:HEV from October 24 to 31, 2024. Additionally, the newly launched Honda Leasing Program offers flexible financing options, making it easier for customers to drive home a new Honda.

Rie Miyake, President of HCPI, emphasized Honda’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and eliminating traffic fatalities by 2050. “Our focus on innovative technologies like Honda SENSING and Honda CONNECT aims to enhance safety and promote sustainable mobility solutions,” he stated.
