GAC, Kia, BYD, Honda, Suzuki, Jetour, MG – among others – each plan to make their presence felt.

The SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds is where a unique experience this summer is at, as the much-anticipated 2024 AUTO FOCUS Summer Test Drive Festival marked its start today and will run until this Sunday, May 12. This annual event, organized by Sunshine Television (STV), brings together some of the country’s leading automotive brands, offering visitors a unique opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience the latest vehicle models firsthand – for FREE.

One of the key highlights of this year’s festival is the strong presence of electric and hybrid vehicles, reflecting the growing demand for eco-friendly mobility solutions in the Philippines.

BYD Cars Philippines, the local distributor of the Chinese automaker, will be showcasing its Dolphin and Atto 3 electric vehicles. Attendees can test-drive these models and learn about their seamless acceleration, quiet operation, and impressive range of up to 400 kilometers. The brand’s representatives will be on hand to provide detailed information about the features, cost savings, and charging infrastructure supporting BYD’s electric lineup.

Joining the EV lineup is Kia Philippines, which will feature the Kia EV6 GT-Line, the brand’s flagship electric crossover. Visitors can also test-drive the Kia Seltos and Sorento, the latter of which is available in a hybrid variant, allowing them to experience the benefits of electrified powertrains. During the festival, Kia Philippines will offer special deals and savings, including up to PHP 125,000 for the Kia Soluto, up to PHP 80,000 for the Kia Stonic, up to PHP 50,000 for the Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival, and up to PHP 150,000 for the Kia Sorento.

GAC MOTOR Philippines, under Astara, will present its highly anticipated Emkoo Hybrid SUV, the company’s first hybrid offering in the country. Alongside the Emkoo, the brand will showcase the all-new M6 Pro MPV and the Emzoom subcompact crossover. Visitors who test-drive and reserve GAC MOTOR vehicles during the festival can take advantage of the brand’s comprehensive after-sales support, including a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty.

Suzuki Philippines, on the other hand, will bring out its versatile lineup of popular models, including the Ertiga Hybrid, XL7 Hybrid, Jimny 5-Door, Jimny 3-Door, Dzire, and S-Presso. Knowledgeable sales representatives will be on hand to guide visitors through the features and capabilities of these vehicles.

Jetour Auto Philippines Inc (JAPI) will also allow attendees to test-drive the JETOUR X70 Plus, JETOUR Dashing Symphony Crossover, JETOUR T2 4WD SUV, and JETOUR Ice Cream EV. JAPI and its partner banks will offer easy-to-own financing programs, including a “1st Month On Us” program for the JETOUR X70 Plus, zero-interest schemes for selected models, and all-in low-down payment options.

Not to be outdone, MG Philippines is showcasing its impressive lineup, including the MG3, G50 Plus, MG ONE, MG4, ZS EV, GT Sport, and ZST, providing visitors with ample choices to explore the brand’s capabilities.

In addition to the test drive opportunities, the festival will also feature fun activities and games for all ages, such as the Suzuki Safety Scouts Corner, which will educate children on essential road safety practices.

“This event is a testament to the growing diversity and innovation in the Philippine automotive market,” said Ray Louis Gamboa of Sunshine Television. “We’re excited to provide a platform for car enthusiasts to experience the latest offerings from leading brands, including a strong focus on electric and hybrid vehicles, which are shaping the future of mobility in the country.”
