inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform operating in 48 countries, has retained its position as the world’s second most downloaded ride-hailing app for the third consecutive year, according to Sensor Tower.
The platform also ranked fifth globally in the travel and navigation category.
With over 280 million app downloads globally, inDrive now ranks among the top five most downloaded travel apps, alongside Google Maps and Waze. While this model has been key to inDrive’s success in many markets, pricing structures vary by country.
“Maintaining our position as the second most downloaded ride-hailing app globally is a remarkable milestone. With Southeast Asia being one of the fastest-growing regions for urban mobility, we see immense potential to empower communities here through fair and innovative solutions,” Arsen Tomsky, founder and chief executive of inDrive said.
“As we deepen our presence in the Philippines and expand further across Southeast Asia, our focus remains on creating opportunities for drivers, offering transparent options for passengers, and addressing local mobility challenges with tailored solutions. Our goal is not just to be a service provider but a trusted partner in shaping the future of transportation,” he added.
In the Philippines, where bid-based pricing is not applicable, inDrive instead focuses on providing Filipinos transparency on vehicle types, distance from pick-up point, and fair pricing based on the local regulations, among others.
Building on its mission to challenge injustice and improve lives, inDrive has expanded beyond ride-hailing to include city-to-city and intercity transportation, courier services, freight solutions, and urban services like housekeeping and home repairs.
Since launching in the Philippines, inDrive has significantly transformed the local mobility landscape by offering innovative, fair, and transparent solutions for passengers and drivers alike. inDrive has empowered users with the freedom to choose their preferred rides, which has resonated with Filipino consumers who value fairness and flexibility.
In January 2025, inDrive recorded a threefold increase in daily rides compared to when it resumed operations in 2024, reflecting its growing popularity and trust in the country.
Active users have doubled since the start of the year, while the number of active drivers surged by 96 percent, reinforcing inDrive’s role in fostering a competitive and driver-friendly mobility market.
Over the past 11 years, inDrive has successfully scaled across diverse regions without over-relying on any single country, demonstrating a global demand for greater freedom of choice and less algorithmic control core principles of inDrive’s model.
inDrive’s momentum continues, with 6.1 million downloads recorded in December 2024 alone. Currently operating in 888 cities, the company remains committed to providing affordable transportation for passengers and fair earning opportunities for drivers, while expanding its services beyond mobility.
Since its inception, inDrive passengers have traveled a total of 123,500 years, covering 32 billion kilometers. In 2024, inDrive also led ride-hailing app downloads in 11 markets, including Egypt, Morocco, Nepal, Panama, and Jamaica.
Additionally, inDrive is expanding into financial services, trialing inDrive.Money in Mexico and Colombia to improve lending accessibility for drivers. This initiative aligns with inDrive’s broader mission to positively impact 1 billion lives by 2030, with plans for expansion into new markets this year.
