With the Acer Vero 15, Acer puts the spotlight on sustainability. The 15” laptop is partially made of recycled plastic and the packaging is of recycled paper. The Acer Vero is a multi-awarded laptop. Hailed as the Reddot Winner for 2022, impressing with its sustainable design, “while the unconventional colour scheme of the casing conveys the idea of recycling in a pleasantly restrained manner.” The Acer Vero has also won an IFDesign award and has EPEAT Silver registration, whose main feature is that it can be repaired directly by the user to make a softer impact on the planet.
The mirrored R and E keys reinforce the call to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle while the world-reminiscent (Mariana Blue / Cypress Green / Cobblestone Grey) hues remind us of what we’re trying to protect. The laptop’s extended-life design makes repairs, upgrades, and recycling more seamless. The paint-free chassis lowers the negative impact of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) so you save around 30% in CO2 emissions. The OceanGlass Touchpad is made from using Ocean-Bound plastics and 40% PCR materials are on top and bottom cover, screen bezel, and operating surface. Acer has also used standard screws with the Aspire Vero 15 to make product repair and recycling easier.
The laptop was also designed to withstand repeated use, with the hinge having been tested to endure 30,000 open/close cycles. The closed cover has a tolerance of up to 20 kg, while the palm rest can withstand up to 5 kg of pressure. Aspire Vero 15 can survive a drop of up to 28 cm!
What do these mean? One, there is an increased reduction of CO2 emissions from 21% to 30% with the Acer Vero 15. Acer has also lowered the amount of printed circuit board material used—for a 52% reduction in PCB surface area.
Inside the Acer Vero 15 is the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors with up to the Intel Core i7-1355U available. This comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 512GB SSD running Windows 11 out of the box. The 15-inch, FHD IPS display has a peak brightness of 300nits and full coverage of the sRGB color gamut.

There is no lack of connectivity. You’ll find an HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For wireless connectivity, the Aspire Vero 15 supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. There’s also a 720p HD webcam and a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. The 50Wh battery should last up to 10.5 hours.
