RCBC’s all-in-one banking app DiskarTech is back with yet another surprisingly funny film! This time their ad for their digital product celebrates promdis (a Filipino slang referring to people from the province or rural areas) and their resourcefulness that’s enabled by DiskarTech’s extraordinary features.

The video starts with an eerie title sequence, “Ang Sikreto ni Tatang” (The Old Man’s Secret). We see Tatang (from the first DiskarTech commercial) welcoming his visitors from Manila into his provincial home. Mosquitoes suddenly bother the visitors. This changes Tatang’s aura altogether.
Come nighttime, he overhears the couple complaining which takes him over the edge. Eventually, we get to see Tatang surprise his guests with a hilarious and effective solution. Quite the plot twist!
Afterwards, we see a familiar face from DiskarTech commending Tatang’s brand of resourcefulness, which is in line with DiskarTech’s benefits and features.

Their first viral film “Utang ni Tatang” (The Old Man’s Debt) won them “The Challenger” Award for 2022! RCBC is the very first Philippine bank to ever receive this recognition.
This film was made in collaboration with agency Katok and has since garnered 7.4M views on Facebook since late October–truly making a splash amongst Pinoys during the Halloween season.
