Designed for ultimate travel, shopping, and rewards experience, the new RCBC Visa Infinite credit card carries outstanding benefits, including an extremely generous rewards program where cardholders will earn one rewards point for a minimum spend of P30, regardless of merchant category. The points become 3x for local online spend and 5x for overseas in-store and online spend.

The newly launched credit card is actually the enhanced version of the RCBC Bankard Visa Infinite Card, the top-of-the-line credit card for the highly discerning segment.

RCBC Bankard Services Corporation president and chief executive officer Arniel Vincent B. Ong said that it’s to “re-discover the infinite joys of shopping, travel, and rewards.”

“With this new credit card, they’ll enjoy one of the fastest earning rewards points program, get treated to curated dining offers, exclusive shopping discounts, higher free insurance coverage, unlimited complimentary Airport Lounge Access, and more. We created this card carefully and consciously with discerning clients in mind,” he added.

Jeff Navarro, Visa’s Country Manager for the Philippines and Guam added, “I am excited about the launch of the refreshed and rejuvenated RCBC Visa Infinite credit card which offers attractive benefits to Filipinos. Visa’s Consumer Payment Attitudes Study[1] shows the pandemic has accelerated the move to cashless, including the growth of eCommerce and contactless card payments across the region. Featuring contactless technology, the RCBC Visa Infinite credit card will provide consumers with greater speed, convenience and security for their everyday purchases whether they’re shopping at home or abroad.”

Broadcast media professional David Celdran, who was introduced as the Card’s Brand Ambassador during the official launch of RCBC Visa Infinite Card, said he himself has an RCBC Bankard credit card for over two decades now.

“It has been part of our family, it has been part of all our travels, it has been part of all Jennie’s [Celdran’s wife] shopping, it has been part of our experiences as a family. It is our primary credit card,” Celdran said.

“And people ask me why? It is such a competitive environment. People are offering many cards left and right. There are all sorts of privileges, all sorts of perks. Tempting as it is, I always say that, aside from its benefits and perks, there is one thing [about Visa Infinite Card] that I feel is the most important reasons we have been loyal to this card – it is peace of mind… it is about having immediate access to a customer agent and I’ve had that for 20 plus years. Being able to call, not having to line up for several minutes and key in your numbers and all sort of things, getting straight to an agent almost immediately when you have problems give me that peace of mind,” he added.

New RCBC Visa Infinite cardholders will receive up to 110,000 bonus rewards points for their first 60 days spend, while current RCBC Visa Infinite cardholders can also stand to gain as much as 20,000 anniversary bonus points on every card renewal date.

The rewards points are evergreen and cardholders can choose to redeem these for free flights through the airmiles program, use the points to redeem shopping vouchers at numerous top establishments, have the peso value of the points credited back to their RCBC Credit Card account, deposited to their RCBC savings or current account, or donated to their preferred non-government organization.

RCBC president and chief executive officer Eugene S. Acevedo said, “In the past few months, the international borders have opened up and we’ve seen a significant rise in overseas travel and spending,”

“This prestigious card brings together RCBC credit card’s product innovation and Visa’s global acceptance network.” Acevedo adds.

Visa’s acceptance network includes more than 80 million merchants globally and includes impressive cross-border as well as local offers that are available to the RCBC Visa Infinite base.
