Five ICT-medical brands from Taiwan showcased recently their latest innovative products that took the medical technology (medtech) equipment applications to a whole new level.
The webinar that introduced the Taiwanese medical device companies premiered on Thursday, June 16, 2022 and successfully stunned the international healthcare industry.
There is no denying the fact that the pandemic boosted Taiwan’s ability to adapt and combine ICT and service innovations to improve the country’s healthcare industry even in low resourced settings.
“Hospital physicians worked very closely with the telecommunications companies and medical companies to enhance the best care for patients while protecting our valuable healthcare staff,” remarked Matthew Huei-Ming Ma, MD, PhD, during the webinar.
Ma is a professor of Emergency Medicine, and also the Vice Superintendent of the National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch.
During the webinar, five Taiwan Excellence Awards-winning companies, including three of the top ten Gold Awards winners, presented their advancements in medical applications.
The product launch featured companies such as iXensor’s infectious disease management/chronic disease management/female health management, Wellell’s SleepWell solution, United Orthopedic’s Hinge Knee & Limb Salvage System, also MiiS’ telemedicine solution products and IEI’s Medical Image Management System – POCi-W22C-ULT5.
Though the companies specialized in different aspects and products related to medical technology, their strength in developing applications continue to contribute in order to bring the best performance and realize the future for healthcare.
The event attracted more than 200 registrations as it welcomed online viewers from over 10 countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Italy, France, Iran, Germany and the UK.
