The Jaecoo J7 PHEV has made headlines by covering an impressive 1,353 kilometers during the Long-Distance Challenge at the 2024 OMODA & JAECOO International User Summit, far exceeding its published range of 1,200 kilometers. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the brand’s commitment to sustainable and efficient transportation.
Held in Wuhu, China, the summit gathered over 2,000 participants, including dealers, suppliers, car enthusiasts, and media from around the globe. The event, organized by OMODA & JAECOO in collaboration with parent company Chery Automobile, showcases the brands’ advancements in green technology and sustainable automotive development.
The J7 PHEV’s long-distance challenge was designed to simulate real-world driving conditions. The test vehicle, carrying 3-4 passengers, tackled a route from Guangzhou to Wuhu over two days and one night, without refueling. This rigorous test evaluated both the vehicle’s fuel and electric capabilities under challenging conditions, including varied urban and highway terrains.
Impressively, the J7 PHEV achieved a maximum combined range of 1,353 kilometers, utilizing both its full fuel tank and a fully charged electric battery. It showcased remarkable fuel efficiency, consuming only 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. In pure electric mode, the J7 PHEV surpassed expectations by traveling 125.2 kilometers—exceeding its advertised range of 90 kilometers by 39%.
The vehicle’s performance was further enhanced by its Super Hybrid System (SHS), which provides exceptional thermal efficiency and low carbon emissions. This advanced system not only alleviates range anxiety for users but also ensures a smooth and quiet driving experience, with seamless acceleration and power delivery.
The J7 PHEV is soon to be made available in the Philippines with details on pre-orders and test drives soon available. Prospective buyers can visit the official OMODA & JAECOO website at www.omodajaecoo.ph and follow their social media channels for updates.
