Pueblo de Oro Development Corp. (PDO), the residential development arm of the ICCP Group, reaffirms its commitment to partnering with local government units (LGUs) by advancing community infrastructure through sustainable solutions.
The company recently donated and installed solar panel systems in two partner barangays in the municipality of Malvar, Batangas province. In a move towards sustainability, seven solar panels were installed at the hall of Barangay Santiago.
Fourteen panels were also installed at the water system facility of Barangay San Pedro I. These installations are set to reduce the respective barangay’s electricity costs and create more sustainable and eco-friendly communities.
Further in other areas of the province, Pueblo de Oro donated a new batch of solar streetlights to its host barangays. In separate turnover ceremonies, Pueblo de Oro donated 15 solar streetlights to Barangay Balintawak in Lipa City and 20 solar streetlights to Barangay Tinga Itaas in Batangas City.
The streetlights are expected to provide a reliable source of illumination in areas that need it most, especially in dark portions of the barangays, to minimize accidents and petty crimes. Solar-powered lights reduce dependence on traditional electricity, promoting green practices.
The ICCP Group Foundation, Pueblo de Oro’s social-civic arm, facilitated the donations, which align seamlessly with the company’s corporate mission to elevate the quality of life in the communities it operates in and to implement sustainable operations.
“We believe sustainable development is not just about building homes, but also about fostering safe and resilient communities,” said PDO president and chief operating officer Prim Nolido.
“These initiatives not only aid in reducing energy costs but also reinforce our commitment to sustainability through the use of renewable energy. By investing in these communities, we are contributing to a brighter and more sustainable future for all,” he said.
The donations of solar panels and solar streetlights are part of Pueblo de Oro’s broader efforts to support community development and sustainability across its various residential projects.
Pueblo de Oro will continue to explore and implement initiatives that support this goal. The company has been incorporating solar power systems across its own operations, with installations at the Pueblo de Oro Golf & Country Club in Cagayan de Oro and the Pueblo de Oro Townsquare commercial center in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
For almost three decades, PDO has been developing quality and mixed-used townships and residential projects. Pueblo de Oro has achieved recognition from local and international awards institutions for its innovative, high-quality yet affordable offerings of residential communities and townships in booming areas like Cagayan de Oro; Malvar, Lipa and Santo Tomas in Batangas; Laguna; San Fernando in Pampanga, and Mactan in Cebu.
