Mr. Peterson shared valuable insights on the GMT framework, underscoring its potential to address tax base erosion and profit shifting by multinational corporations.

Senator Gatchalian expressed the Senate’s strong commitment to exploring legislative measures that align with international tax standards while safeguarding the interests of the Filipino people. This will be another landmark legislation to be sponsored by Senator Gatchalian to promote the competitiveness of the Philippines as an investment destination.

This dialogue marks an important step in the ongoing collaboration between the Philippine Senate and the OECD, focusing on the adoption of tax reforms that can strengthen the country’s economic position in the global market.

ACG is committed to collaborating with international experts and policymakers in pursuing global tax policy reforms that foster sustainable economic development in the Philippines.
