Rep. Del Mar has been actively working in the House of Representatives to introduce and pass legislation addressing various concerns and issues affecting her constituents and the nation. As of November 2024, the esteemed congresswoman had filed 22 House Bills and two House Resolutions.
Two notable bills, House Bill No. 3347 and House Bill No. 128, have been approved on third reading and are now pending in the Senate. The former seeks to convert the Cebu Technological University into a university system, while the latter aims to regulate the use of motorcycles as public utility vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Committee on Public Works and Highways has approved House Bill No. 556, which seeks to amend specific provisions of the Local Water Utilities Administration and Metropolitan Cebu Water District law. This bill aims to enhance water resource management and distribution in the region.
Additionally, two other bills, House Bill No. 132 and House Bill No. 140 are currently being consolidated with similar measures by technical working groups. These bills focus on establishing a Magna Carta for Barangays and constructing a circumferential road in Cebu City.
The remaining 16 bills are currently pending with their respective committees like the Mega Cebu Development Authority. They cover a wide range of issues, such as transportation, infrastructure, education, and public service. These bills demonstrate Rep.
