The Philippines’ fastest-growing business networking organization, BNI Philippines, is set to host its national conference on July 5-6 at the Philippine International Convention Center and Okada Manila.
Marking its 10th anniversary, BNI Philippines is part of the global BNI organization. National Directors YP Lai from Malaysia and Dexter Ortega from the Philippines have expressed their excitement, noting that there is a “magic in the air” at any BNI conference.
YP Lai, a civil engineer by trade, first experienced this magic in Malaysia 22 years ago, a moment he describes as life-changing. Through the BNI system, he learned to build relationships based on the principles of KLT – Know, Like, and Trust. “You need to first know me before you can like me. And you need to like me first before you can trust me. This is what we build in BNI,” YP emphasizes.
Ortega, an accountant and auditor by profession, initially approached BNI with skepticism. His doubts were dispelled after attending conferences in Malaysia and Thailand, where he discovered BNI’s true mission: helping people. Inspired, Ortega eventually became part of the team that introduced BNI to the Philippines. “I have found my passion and purpose in BNI, which is to help people live up to their full potential,” he shares.
The upcoming conference will bring together thousands of business leaders like YP Lai and Ortega, making the PICC a fount of inspiration and possibilities. With the theme “Connection Revolution: The Next Decade of Change,” the event is anticipated to attract entrepreneurs eager to grow their businesses through BNI’s “Helper’s Gain” referral system. This system has facilitated over P6 billion in closed business for BNI Philippines members in the past year alone.
Attendees will be treated to a series of inspirational talks from a stellar lineup of speakers. Headlining the event is BNI founder Ivan Misner, a renowned author in business networking. He will be joined by Mac Srinivasan, Global Markets President of BNI; entrepreneur and business coach Phil Ber; Kevin Barber, Board Director at BNI Foundation; and prominent local figures such as Joe Magsaysay, Paco Magsaysay, Jeff Bareiro, Anna Lacson, Donald Lim, Paul Soliman, and Louie Ocampo Gutierrez.
The conference will conclude with a gala night at Okada Manila, featuring special awards to honor outstanding achievements.
