In a historic moment for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), three distinguished leaders—Senator Mark A. Villar, Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation President Rogelio Singson—stood together with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at the inauguration ceremony of Cavitex C5 Link Sucat Interchange project.
The event on June 21, 2024, coincides with the 126th anniversary celebration of the DPWH, marking the first time that the three DPWH Secretaries have been photographed together at the inauguration of a pivotal infrastructure project.
In his message, President Marcos underscores the DPWH’s commitment to “Build Better More” for a new and progressive Philippines.
The President led the groundbreaking of the CAVITEX-CALAX Link in Kawit, Cavite and the CAVITE C5 Link Segment 3B in Parañaque City and the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange.
These three (3) milestone projects bring to reality our promise to transform the lives of millions of Filipinos, by systematically easing traffic flow in the greater Metro Manila,” President Marcos said.
The momentous occasion is not only a testament to the collaborative efforts and unity among past and present leaders but also a symbol of the progress and future development envisioned for the country.
