The age of technology has brought forward several advancements that made various services more available than it was compared to a few decades ago. With a single click, consumers can avail of goods and services on their smartphones wherever they may be, ranging from food and groceries to clothes and furniture.

With the ongoing trend of people being much more concerned about their health status, this onslaught of convenience in the digital age has also paved the way for many applications revolving around health and wellness to be within reach for many individuals.

Here are some health and wellness applications that have been widely used by smartphone users in the country:

Another application that provides health and wellness solutions is mWell, which is the healthcare arm of Metro Pacific Investment Corporation (MPIC), an investment holding company.

The mWell provides patients with digital consultations and medicine deliveries within the app along with free e-prescriptions, e-medical certificates, and lab referrals after consultations. It also provides patients with a digital medical ID to help users track their health records.

The app also features several wellness functions such as the mWellness Score which measures a person’s physical health based on their activities such as exercise, light activity, steps, and sleep. It also has wrist gadgets that can help people track these activities conveniently.

It also has specialized fitness programs as well as calorie-controlled recipes by nutritionists and dietitians.

It received the Best Mobile Innovation for Digital Life Award during the 2023 Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. It was also the first application in the Philippines to have been recognized in the new Digital Everything category.

REBEL

Founded by Fitness enthusiasts Erwan Heussaff, Nico Bolzico, and Gilles Hage, REBEL is a fitness app that allows users to access fitness-related content and programs by trainers, nutritionists, and health experts in the country.

The app features more than 500 workout videos spanning various disciplines in sports such as yoga, muscle toning, dance, martial arts, bodyweight, HIIT, and others. It also has programs ranging from 7 to 30 days, which can be tailored depending on the goals of users.
