Chef June Rey Tunog of Bukidnon is set to represent region 10 on the national rounds of Solane Kitchen Heroes Chefs’ Edition—a competition organized by leading LPG solutions brand Solane to showcase the natural cooking flair of skilled chefs all over the country.
Giving Tunog his first win in the competition was his Pan-grilled Duck in Caldareta Sauce, Taro Croquettes, Carrot Fondant and Annatto Aioli dish.
Meanwhile, chef Paolo Lumbres, a contender native to Butuan City will join the other winners as region 13’s representative.
His winning dish was Buntaa with Pan Fried Fish, Coconut Shrimp Sauce and Lemon Grass. Both chefs will contend in the next round for a chance to win a culinary trip to Japan and P100,000 cash.
