The 29th LuzViMin Invitational golf tournament officially teed off at the scenic Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club in Davao City, with a grand parade on Monday, featuring 136 players representing 17 teams from across the Philippines.
The prestigious women’s golf tournament, presented by Sta. Lucia Land, Inc., runs until Nov. 21. Participants and organizers are staying at the Sotogrande Davao Hotel, a property also owned by Sta. Lucia Land, Inc., further cementing the company’s active role in supporting the event.
The Women’s Golf Association of the Philippines (WGAP) Board, along with team members, arrived in full force to oversee and participate in the event. WGAP President Cielo Fregil was joined by key board members, including Evelyn Alcantara, Greely Oposa, Ting Yupangco, Anne Granada, Cookie Castillo, and Detsy Laurel.
During the opening ceremonies, the board members were warmly welcomed by Rancho Palos Verdes Golf Club General Manager Marlon Tabanao, setting the tone for an exciting three days of competitive golf.
The LuzViMin Invitational continues to be a highlight in the Philippine women’s golf calendar, promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, and excellence in the sport. With stunning fairways and a strong field of competitors, this year’s event promises intense action and memorable moments.
