Jefferson Cheng has stepped down from his role as team manager of the Philippine Women’s National Football Team.

Cheng, who is considered as one of the most successful managers in the sport of football, said he is quitting from his duties due to conflicts of interest.

“For several months, we tried our best to make things work under new and very different circumstances. Unfortunately, the situation is not workable,” added Cheng.

With Stajcic as coach, the Filipinas snared a bronze medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam and won the 2022 AFF Women’s Championship on home soil.
