“We are excited to host GoSkateboarding Day 2024 at Rizal Park Luneta, a venue steeped in history and cultural significance. This event celebrates skateboarding as a sport and fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among skateboarders and enthusiasts,” said Carl Sambrano, president of Skate Pilipinas.

“We’ve been organizing events for the community, but what makes it more meaningful is that you’d see in full force the heart and passion of the skateboarding community. We at Skate Pilipinas aim for sportsmanship and ultimately friendship,” added Tong Facundo, vice president of Skate Pilipinas.

Jezreel Apelar, Deputy Executive Director of the National Parks Development Committee, added: “Having skateboarding on the grounds of Rizal Park Luneta is monumental and the first time we are doing this in a very historical spot. We are very excited and enthusiastic to host the growing Skateboarding community, and we couldn’t be happier being a part of it .”

Sponsors are Jollibee and Philippine Airlines.

The National Parks Development Committee, Tingog Partylist, Bagong Pilipinas, and the Department of Tourism co-present the event.
