No less than 500 persons have been served by the noble undertaking which intends to help de-clog the jam at DFA’s regular passport centers.

Former Alaska Milk star forward Bong Hawkins came with his two kids.

Claudine Pardo-Abaca, daughter of Magnolia Pambansang Manok top official Rene Pardo, and a host of sportswriters with their families were among the early birds.

In the afternoon, among those seen were Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia, Meralco assistant coach Luigi Trillo and former player Nic Belasco.

“It warms the heart na nakatulong tayo kahit papaano. Malaking tulong ito sa mga fans ‘di na sila mahihirapan mag-pa-schedule sa pagkuha ng passport,” said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

“Kahit papaano, siguro nakatulong din tayo na makabawas ng volume sa DFA. Pipilitin natin na masundan ito,” Marcial added.

Up next in the PBA’s outreach program is a blood-letting session at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 7.

The league will conduct the program before the special double-header pitting TNT KaTropa versus Rain or Shine then San Miguel Beer opposite Magnolia.
