Group D: Chinese Taipei, Egypt, Canada, France

All 16 teams participating in the event will advance to the competition’s Final Phase with a single-elimination format in place from the Round of 16 onwards.

Japan and Chinese-Taipei will represent Asia with the defending champion team USA, shooting for its sixth U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup crown in the seventh tournament.

The Americans’ only loss in the history of the event came to eventual champions Australia in the 2016 Semi-Finals, where USA finished third.
