In line with its Player Development Program, the PBA will conduct a new round of players’ orientation that concerns legal matters this time.

Emphasis is concentrated on specific issues related to prejudice, Violence Against Women and Children, annulment, and other matters.

The program is set on Oct. 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. tentatively at the Meralco Theater.

Special guest speakers will be on hand to discuss about the different issues.

The orientation is a mandatory league-sanctioned activity.

League Commissioner Willie Marcial, who’s the prime mover behind the revived program, encourages all teams and players to participate in the event as discussion will guide them in their personal and work-related undertakings.

This will be the second Player Development Program to be conducted by the league this year.

Only last February, the PBA launched its initial players’ orientation in which topics regarding financial management, social media activities, proper grooming, and the importance of one’s mental health were greatly tackled.

Among the speakers included Roch Vanderberghe of FWD Insurance and Cheska Bugia-Tenorio, Maggie Cortez, PBA legend Ronnie Magsanoc, Alaska assistant coach Tony dela Cruz, and San Miguel Beer guard Chris Ross.
