“That’s more meaningful to me, being prepared for (the Golden State Warriors), on how we’re gonna be out there,” said Curry during a 20-minute courtside press conference.

Minutes before the media event, a shirtless Curry ran around the court, wearing black basketball shorts and rubber shoes and going for baskets from practically all angles.

Curry said he feels he’s got a responsibility to stay in shape and improve as a player after the Warriors won their third title with him around.

“I have to make sure that everybody’s in the right place,” he said.

Curry arrived in the country on Thursday night to start off a three-nation Asian tour.

Mobbed by fans as soon as he stepped off the plane, the Golden State Warriors star point guard will be promoting his latest sneaker under the Under Armour brand.

On Saturday, Curry will attend the UAAP opening ceremonies at Mall of Asia Arena.

Then, he will be in Wuhan in China and Tokyo.

Every day, Curry said improvements in his game matter a lot to him.

“For me, to improve is to evolve into a good point guard, balancing what I do, scoring, playmaking, getting everybody in the right spot,” added Curry.

When the Warriors won the NBA title in Game 4, he led all scorers with 37 points for a 108–85 Dubs’ win, helping Golden State take its second straight championship.

In his six years with the Warriors, he averaged 37.7 minutes on the floor, 26.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.7 steals.

In 2018, he finished with an average of 37 minutes, 25.5 points, 5.4 assists and 1.7 steals.

Having started his day with a good workout, Curry said he is really excited what’s in store for the team in the coming NBA season that’s set to start this October.

“This is why you work hard in the offseason. Putting in the hours every single day,” he added.

The Warriors has had Curry play almost exclusively at the point guard position.

He has been selected to four All-NBA Teams and voted league MVP twice.

The 30-year-old Curry is considered to be an important leader within the Warriors’ organization and is known for his humility and work ethic.
