CAMEROONIANS Cameroonians Donald Tankoua and Arnauh Noah are coming aboard as the San Beda Red Lions’ foreign players this season.

San Beda team manager Jude Roque said this as squad finalized its rosters for the 93rd National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament.

This means that their third foreign cager in reserve, Eugene Toba, will sit out the season  when the cagefest reels off on July 8 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

“After hours of deliberation, we decided that Tankoua and Noah should stay as San Beda’s foreign players in Season 93,” said Roque.

Tankoua is returning after injury. He tore an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) late in the second round of elimination which put him out of commission.

Noah, who replaced Tankoua, got a chance again to join Team A after he snared the Finals MVP in last year’s successful title run.

On the other hand, Toba, will wait another year to get his chance to suit up for the Red Lions.

Noah will be a starter for the team while San Beda waits for Tankoua to fully recover.

Roque added that Tankoua is expected to come back in the second round.

“Donald will play minimal minutes in the first round but we expect him to be in full strength in the second round,” said Roque.

This season, the Red Lions will again be a team that’s already loaded with a combination of experienced players and a young set  of promising talents.

There’s Robert Bolick, who’s known for his court side leadership after leading the team to an impressive title win in the pre-season.

He will play alongside Jayvee Mocon, Jose Presbitero, Ben Adamos, AC Soberano and a pair of talented rookie transferees Clint Doliguez and 6-8 Kenmark Carino.
