Fil-American Olympian bet Aleah Finnegan took home one of three titles that the no. 3-ranked Louisiana State University women’s gymnastics team won on Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Finnegan shared the individual vault crown with teammates Chase Brock and freshman Kaliya Lincoln and University of Missouri’s Hannah Horton during the ongoing Southeastern Eastern Conference of the US NCAA Division 1 gymnastics’ competitions.
With their effort, the LSU Tigers went on to bring down No. 9 Missouri, 198.000-197.175 in front of a crowd of 13,082 fans, according to the official university website.
The Tigers, who upped their win-loss record to 6-3, also netted the bars’ title, with their players Kailin Chio and Alexis Jeffrey sharing the win with Mara Titarsolej from Missouri.
Halleigh Bryant then claimed the floor exercise title with her 9.95 score.
Finnegan earned her 11th title in the season and 34th in her career.
So far, LSU emerged as the only second team in the 2025 season to register a 198-and-above score.
The score was registered off new season-highs on vault (49.550) and beam (49.550) and after the Tigers tied the team’s season-high mark on bars (49.425).
“The things they were saying in the meeting, and the intentionality and the energy that they brought to practice really shifted this week; and they really understood the reasons for what had happened the previous week, and it showed out there tonight,” said LSU coach Jay Clark.
