Lady Aces sweep WNBL 1st round

The Paranaque Lady Aces swept their first round assignments beating the Quezon Lady SparTAN, 68-48, on Saturday in the Pia Cayetano WNBL Season 2021 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Allana Lim had 18 points and 18 rebounds as the Lady Aces won their fourth game in a row to complete the sweep of their first round games.

Lim had a relatively silent outing in their previous match against Glutagence with eight points and 16 rebounds but regained her touch on offense against the Lady SparTAN.

Jenina Solis with eight points and seven rebounds to also play a pivotal role in the Lady Aces’ win.

Paranaque also contained Quezon’s leading scorer Kath Araja to just seven points on 3 of 13 shooting from the field.

Chicky Faraon scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Spartan (1-4), who are now in tie with Pacific Water at the bottom of the standings.

Action resumes on Sunday with Taguig facing Glutagance at 11:15 a.m. at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
