1. Toe Flexibility: Bend the shoe’s toe upwards; it should be able to bend at least 70 degrees. This is important as it supports the natural rolling motion of your foot while walking, activating stabilization mechanisms in the foot, knee, and hip.
2. Heel Support: Squeeze the heel of the shoe just above the sole. It should not compress. A firm heel prevents excessive inward and outward foot tilting which can cause issues in the foot, knee, hip, and back.
