IT’S the clash of the strongest as Team Liquid Philippines and RORA look to clinch solo first place in the standings of MPL Philippines.
Dropping only one game against OMG, Team Liquid swept most of its games, behind baby-faced assassin-”Babycakes Duo” in Karltzy and Oheb.
In their Week 3 match against last year’s champions ONIC PH, Karltzy went for 6-2-11, while Oheb shot down ONIC with an 11-1-4 performance to sweep the series.
“Lahat ng teams sa Pilipinas, hindi mo puwedeng maliitin ‘yan. Siguro for me, may ibang training lang kami, and iba ‘yung culture namin sa kanila. (Siguro) this season, mas nagfo-focus lang kami sa kung ano ‘yung dapat i-focus this season,” said coach Rodel “Arsy” Criz on their winning streak.
On the other side, Aurora Gaming had closer wins, with Twisted Minds as their only sweep back in Week 1. Domengkite currently leads the gold laners in kills and kill participation with 89 kills and 72.82% KP, while Renejay is on the top of assists board for all Roam players with 130 to participate in 72.82% RORA’s total number of kills; visibly far ahead from TLPH Jaypee’s 104.
“Ang mag-mamatter muna is ‘yung sa TNC. So ang gusto kong i-look forward ngayon is TNC. After TNC, saka namin pag-iisipan ‘yung sa TLPH saka sa Falcon,” said RORA coach MasterTheBasics on facing TLPH.
The storylines are set for Saturday’s matchup, as fans are looking forward to the refuelled rivalry between the two teams, the Jungle-Gold Lane matchup between The Kite Brothers and The Babycakes Duo and Oheb’s anticipated revenge match against his former teammates.
TLPH vs RORA is scheduled for the first match on the second day of week 4.
With RORA and TLPH currently standing atop of their competition, both teams remain levelled and composed for their upcoming matches.
“Tingin ko po lahat naman po sila (capable). ‘Yung pinaka-tinitignan ko po talaga ngayon, ‘yung nag-top 1 din, TLPH. Pero tingin ko po, lahat naman sila kaya kaming talunin, depende sa ibibigay naming performance and execution,” Renejay said.
For Oheb: “Lahat naman ng nabanggit na teams malalakas. Siguro naka-depende sa amin kung ipagpapatuloy namin ‘yung gigil na katulad nu’ng pinakita namin kanina kasi nakita ko lahat kami gigil na gigil talagang manalo. Wala talagang magpapatalo.”
