Boxing fans in Mindanao are in for an action-packed night as three Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) title fights take centerstage on February 9 at the Kidapawan City Gym, in celebration of the city’s 27th Charter Day.
Headlining the event, Ruben Dadivas of Davao City will square off against Clyde “Pogi” Azarcon of Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte for the PBF Flyweight Championship (112 lbs.) in an intense eight-round showdown.
The 25-year-old Dadivas (10-5, 5 KOs) looks to claim the title against the battle-tested Azarcon (17-14-1, 6 KOs), a 30-year-old veteran with significantly more ring experience.
Joining the title action, Kurt John Pabular (5-0, 3 KOs) of Bansalan takes on Pablito Balidio (8-7-3, 2 KOs) of Bohol for the PBF Minimumweight (105 lbs.) title. Meanwhile, Bryan Cabrillos (6-0-1, 4 KOs) of Davao City faces Jovanie Tagusi (8-9-2, 4 KOs) of Sarangani for the PBF Featherweight (126 lbs.) title.
Promoter Raides “Nonoy” Neri of MP Davao Promotions has also lined up ten additional professional bouts, along with several amateur fights, making this an electrifying night for boxing fans.
